How much is a thank you worth?

When was the last time you called a customer to say thank you?  Seriously, a call with a singular message of appreciation — no upsell, no new product info?

If you’re still scratching your head trying to remember, why not choose today to start this delightful new habit.  Devote a few minutes each day to thank the people who keep you in business. Let’s face it, your competitors would love to have the business. Letting your clients know you appreciate and understand that fact is just another way to cement your relationship.

If you think you’re too busy to call, consider how much time – and money –  it would take to bring in a new client. A few minutes on the phone is a small price to pay. And if you are secretly afraid they to call because  your client might be dissatisfied, even more reason to get in touch immediately. If there is a problem, it will be easier to solve during a call initiated by you rather than one initiated by an angry client.

Think how good you’d feel if someone called to say thank you for your business. That should inspire you to make somebody’s day.
